Meet Dr. J. Whitley Wills

J. Whitley Wills, DDS

After studying biology at Ole Miss, Dr. J Whitley Wills graduated from the University of Tennessee College of Dentistry in 1989. Since graduating, Dr. Wills has continued his education through the prestigious L. D. Pankey Institute in Florida, taking courses on cosmetic, implant, and restorative dentistry to ensure that his patients receive the most up-to-date dental care possible.

A member of the American Dental Association®, the Tennessee Dental Association, the Memphis Dental Society, and the L. D. Pankey Alumni Association, dentistry is Dr. Wills’ passion. He also teaches at the University of Tennessee College of Dentistry in the Restorative Dentistry department. Dr. Wills was the 2011 president of the Memphis Dental Study Club and a past dental director of the St. Ignatius Haiti Medical Missions. He believes in helping people get the smiles they’ve always wanted, and he enjoys getting to know his patients.

Dr. Wills is married and the father of two sons and two daughters-in-law. He also has three adorable grandchildren. Contact us today and J. Jackie – Registered Dental Hygienist, RDH, BS

Jackie joined our team in 2006. Since joining our office, she has been providing her patients with the best care possible by spending ample time with each patient and using the latest technology. A 1988 graduate of the University of Tennessee, with a Bachelor of Science degree in dental hygiene, Jackie is certified in nitrous oxide administration and local anesthesia. She also has experience in periodontal therapy and can provide expertise in the treatment of moderate to advanced periodontal disease without referring to another office. Jackie enjoys working cohesively with the rest of our team to provide quality care.

Jackie has been married to her husband, Wally, for 25 years, and they have two sons, Quinn and Barrett. Her spare time is spent running, cooking, traveling, and doing yoga.

Collene – Office Manager and Patient Care Coordinator, CDA, EDDA

Collene began working with Dr. Wills in April 2014. Collene has worked in all aspects of the dental field for over 28 years, receiving her dental assisting certification from Easter College of Health Vocations in New Orleans, Louisiana, along with an EDDA certification from the Louisiana State University School of Dentistry. She has also taught senior dental students how to work with dental assistants as a faculty team member at the LSU School of Dentistry.

Collene will be the first person to greet you either on the telephone or when you walk through our front door. She will always do her best to make each patient comfortable in our office, from explaining recommended treatments and financial responsibilities to understanding and addressing any concerns our patients may have. Collene moved from her hometown of New Orleans in 2009. She now calls Southaven, Mississippi, home, along with our office.

When Collene is not at the office, she enjoys spending time with her husband of 30 years, her son, and her daughter-in-law, along with her two beautiful granddaughters. She enjoys Cajun cooking and Notre Dame and Saints football. She loves her yellow lab, Dixie, listening to music, shopping, and teaching her parrot to talk.

Tameka – Registered and Certified Dental Assistant, CDA, RDA, BAA

Since 2000, Tameka has been assisting Dr. J Whitley Wills and bringing beautiful smiles to our patients. Tameka enjoys spending quality time with the patients to ensure that their dental needs are met. By providing personalized information and education to each patient, Tameka helps provide exceptional dental experiences that help to put her patients at ease.

Tameka received her Bachelor of Arts degree in communications from the University of Memphis. Married with two children, Tameka’s hobbies include spending time with her family, couponing, and traveling.

Bre – Registered Dental Assistant, CDA, RDA

Bre has over eight years of dental office experience. She studied dental assisting at Concorde Career College, where she graduated with honors, and is a registered dental assistant.

During her time in dentistry, Bre has done everything from dental assisting and front desk reception to scheduling, insurance, and claims and billing. She lives in Southaven with her husband and daughter. Bre has found her home assisting and helping her patients achieve the smiles of their dreams.

Bre enjoys shopping, riding four-wheelers, and spending time with her family outdoors. Her bucket list dream is to step foot on each continent of the world.
